Water Damage Remediation & Rebuild After Hurricane Isaias

Tear-Out Done Right, Rebuild Done Right

Remediation is everything after the emergency: removing materials that can't be saved, drying the structure completely, and rebuilding the rooms. When a roof fails in a hurricane, that often means ceilings, attic insulation and the walls below.

We have been tearing out and rebuilding storm-damaged homes for 30 years. We take rooms down to the studs and joists when the water calls for it, haul it away, dry the framing, and rebuild with new insulation, drywall, trim, cabinets and flooring.

  • Ceiling tear-out and wet attic insulation removal
  • Drywall and insulation removal to clean flood-cut lines
  • Cabinet, vanity and flooring removal and replacement
  • Structural drying and moisture verification before rebuild
  • Full interior rebuild by our licensed building contractor

Metro Builders performs water damage tear-out, drying and rebuild. Where visible mold growth over 10 square feet is present, Florida law requires a licensed mold assessor and remediator, and we'll tell you if your project needs one.

Questions We Hear Most

What gets torn out after water damage?

Anything that can't be dried in place: saturated drywall, wet insulation, swollen particleboard cabinets and trim, and some flooring. We decide with moisture readings, not guesses.

Can you rebuild after mitigation?

Yes. Metro Builders is a Florida Certified Building Contractor (CBC1268975), so we rebuild the interior and repair or replace the roof — one company, one schedule.
